Welcome to my Gallery! The majority of the shots here are taken with my trusty Pentax iSTD. I generally don't do much 'Photoshopping', preferring to leave post-processing to color and contrast correction and minimal cropping. I started out learning on a Pentax K1000 SLR and generally prefer to leave my camera on 'Manual' unless I'm in a hurry. Enjoy the various Galleries and please fell free to leave comments!

Dickens '08 - An Evening at Mad Sal's : Mad Sal's is a fictional Dockside bawdy-house in the heart of Victorian London, as portrayed by the cast of the Great Dicken's Festival in San Francisco. I was experimenting with low lighting and minimal (if any) flash in order to capture the gritty, gas-lamp atmosphere of days gone by. Comments welcome, as always. Enjoy!

Seattle Trip : The weekend of September 8-10 I took a short trip to Seattle for the express reason to see the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the Seattle Seahawks. My first time ever getting to see the Buc's play in person. Thanks to Chris for getting me the tickets! Southwest Vacation '06 : 16 Days, 7 States, 9 National Parks/Monuments, and ~3100 driving miles. Barbara and I hitched up the TARDIS (our teardrop trailer) and took a loop around the entire southwestern United States in July of '06. Along the way we visited Nathan, working for the summer as a Ranger-Intern at Carlsbad Caverns Nat'l Park.

Doheny Beach 75th Anniversary : Barbara and I attended the 75th Anniversary of Doheny Beach event with our teardrop trailer. We were part of the Vintage Camping display, which included a large number of beautifully restored trailers and cars, the latter mostly 'Woodies'. Even Huell Howser stopped by!

Cooking challenge & misc : On Sunday, June 11, Barbara and Clare got together to see what they could come up with in the kitchen. Clare's friend Jon joined in as well while Cassie, Sammi, Holly and Jaime looked on. I did my best to keep everyone's glasses filled. The opening shots are just me playing with macro photography in the backyard. I had a very cooperative honeybee that insisted on being in the photos.

Arch of the Penguins : On Sunday 5-14 @ 16:45 zulu, elements of RPFS SEAL Team-1 successfully executed operation Code Name 'Arch of the Penguins', recovering a kidnapped arrow from deep behind the enemy lines of the evil Wash-aw Pact. Thanks to the careful planning of Col. Gaston and his team, amphibious operations of a highly dubious nature were succesfully carried out with no loss of life and only minor collateral damage. Wash-aw Pact members were left stunned by the bold daylight operation as SEAL Team-1 quickly inserted, reconned the area, recovered the hostage and extracted under the cover of only a couple of small clouds.
