Archer-1  > Photography > Project 365
Project 365:
This is a simple project I'm undertaking with a few friends. 1 picture per day to document an entire year. We'll see if I can keep up with it. I'm a bit hampered, as I can't take a camera to work due to security restrictions; but I'll get by somehow.

Archer-1 > 10/27: We joined our friends LeeAnn, Tom, Steve, Nora, Mike, and Jo-Anne to go see Dread Zepplin at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. The band's act was a bizarre mix of Led-Zep & Elvis that worked better than I would have thought.
Archer-1 > 10/28: We went to an Oktoberfest at Victoria Gardens; our friend Jerry was playing in the band. While we were there, I got to play an Alpenhorn and got into a beer-hoisting contest. The contest was simply to hold a full liter of beer at arm's length as long as possible. I finished 4th; thankfully, I got to empty the stein as this relieved the pain in my shoulder.
Archer-1 > 10/29: Got up at the crack of dawn today (frickin time-change), started cleaning the kitchen and then I got the crazy and *really* started cleaning the kitchen; including stripping and re-painting the pots & pan drawers. Took a bunch of old pots and appliances to Goodwill and chucked the rest.
Archer-1 > 10/30: The lineup of 'Dead Soldiers' above the bar. If we have an earthquake, they'll most likely make one hellova mess, but I like 'em where they are.
Archer-1 > 10/31: Halloween!! These are the punkin's that Holly and I carved today. Holly did the Flying Bat on the left. Sorry about the blurriness of the shot; I'm having flash-issues with the camera...
Archer-1 > 11/1: While this looks like a simple bowl of Chili con Queso its actually significant because Holly made it for us for dinner tonight. This involved some serious cooking, including making a roux. Barb has started a program of having Nathan & Holly cook once a week to develop their skills in the kitchen (beyond making a mess, that is).
Archer-1 > 11/2: I'm a total Sudoku addict. I do these on the train on the way home from work. This photo was going to be of the wonderful Ichihari Ramen that Nathan made for dinner tonight, but I forgot that I didn't have the memory card in the camera when I took the picture. D'Oh!
Archer-1 > 11/3: For those unfamiliar, this is 'Kitty', Holly's first and best loved stuffed toy. She's had Kitty since she was an infant; over the year's Kitty's coat has changed from bright white to a worn dove-grey. The pink in her ears and feet has faded. She's a real-life Velveteen Rabbit and has 'been Real' for many years.
I feature my little girl's toy today, because she just told me that I'm going to be a Grandfather. As of today, this Project is taking on a whole new meaning.
Archer-1 > 11/4: Barb and I went to the Escondido Ren Faire today; we saw the Merry Wives of Windsor and got to share the news of the new grandchild with a bunch of our friends.

I'm still processing all of these changes.
10/27: We joined our friends LeeAnn, Tom, Steve, Nora, Mike, and Jo-Anne to go see Dread Zepplin at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. The band's act was a bizarre mix of Led-Zep & Elvis that worked better than I would have thought.
